LED electrical connection explained

Posted by roadside LED supply staff on

Knowing which electrical connection to use is critical to knowing which light product will work for you. There are several connections most common for lighting applications. There is pigtail connection that is most universal. This connection is when the wires are connected directly out of the light. This application is commonly used when you want to wire the light to existing wiring that may not have a specific type of connection. The 2 pole connection, 3 pole connection, 2 pole sure-seal connection and the amp connection are commonly used when you have an existing connection already in place (See examples below). The wiring colors are usually stamped on the light itself to show which wires perform each function. If you have any questions on which connection you need please feel free to contact us at info@roadsideledsupply.com
